Warsaw was taken Saturday.
On Saturday we all went to Tintagel for the day & took Nicholas & Elizabeth with us as well as Daisy & Freddie Smith. It was a cloudy day & when we got there a sea fog was hanging about, but it did not actually settle on the sea. We had our lunch in the field of Bossiney cove & then went down below for about one hour, when we walked to the Rocky Valley. It was very lovely, the colouring was beautiful, as owing to the constant rain the cliffs were green with fresh grass. When we got home we found Mr Moore, in conclave with father, he has come to see about the living as the Smiths are going. It is sad to think of loosing Mrs Smith & the children.
On Sunday Frank Drewe preached in the evening. He makes a fearful noise in the church, one think to listen to him that he was addressing an outdoor congregation, but still his discourse was a very good one. D & I had all 5 children to look after during the afternoon & when after much difficulty we collected them all and got off, with Hector also, as we were going up the coach road, Mr Moore & Shottie overtook us, the latter was the last straw, however I hung onto Hector & Mr M took Shottie on, & we heard him hunting in the distance but I had to keep a very sharp eye on Hector, & all the time had to watch that neither Michael all DJ fell out of the pram. At last we got them all safely home. It is high time Nicholas went to school & Hanson discipline. He has no idea of obedience, & his most difficult to control. Yesterday Ursula & baby went to St Stephens, & Michael that afternoon walked by himself several steps*1 in the drive, Ellis & I watched him.
