Writing retreats are available at Kelly House on selected weeks throughout the winter of 2013-2014, hosted by the Kelly Family. Rooms are available on a single occupancy basis from £450 for a full week, including all meals, bedding and towels. Tea and Coffee facilities are provided, and WiFi is available in all rooms, albeit on a rather slow connection. Mobile phone service is variable, and generally poor throughout the house, minimising those distractions!
A simple breakfast is served at 08:00 daily, sandwich lunches are provided at 12:30, either at the dining table or delivered to your writing location, and supper is at 18:30, allowing you ample time to devote to your art. In addition, tea and coffee breaks are provided regularly to keep you going throughout the day. Workshops are voluntary, and provide an interaction with the other guests to share tips and feedback, make new literary friends and set brief writing challenges to engage the brain and develop your talents.
There will always be cake in the Drawing Room.
